Attention All Offering Counters: Please meet with John Agnew next week after the service in the Fellowship Hall.

The Lord’s Supper is tonite. Please come and bring a main dish and a side. Please do not bring anything with peanuts or tree nuts, as we have at least one member with a deadly nut allergy.

Prayer Ministry – Would you like to minister to others through prayer? “The Intercessors” are looking for volunteers who want to serve the Lord in this way. The time commitment is not big; we serve on a rotating basis on Sunday mornings following the service. If you are interested, please call De De Cochran.

The nursery now has a paging system! The nursery will be able to get in touch with you during the service after you drop off your child, and even let you know remotely what is going on.

The Christmas season ends with Epiphany. “Epiphany” means “appearing,” and the celebration of Epiphany centers upon the appearing of the Gospel to the Gentiles, which was first marked with the appearance of the magi to worship the infant Jesus.

There is a formal atheism of opinions and words and reasonings which declares that there is no God and seeks to sophisticate the understanding into believing that there is none. This the Bible describes as an open folly: the fool has said in his heart, There is no God. But even when the lip and the mind behind the lip are true to right reason and confess that there is a God who rules the world and to whom we are responsible in our every thought and word and deed, there is often a practical atheism that lives as if there were no God.
