Next Sunday’s Morning is an ordination service for Dennis Laman (deacon) and the Lord’s Supper. There will not be a meal; we will celebrate the Lord's Supper in the morning service.

Next Sunday night, 6:00 p.m., TVP Reformation Day service at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga. Covenant Presbyterian Church is on East Brainerd road. Directions can be found here. Pastor Travis will be giving a short testimony during the service.

The Annual Harvest Party & Chili Cook-off is this coming Sat., Oct. 25, 6 pm at Linda’s! Bring your best chili and try to de-throne Travis and George. There will be a hay ride, bonfire, music and lots of fun. Bring your friends and neighbors. From Highlands take a right out of the parking lot on West North Main St. At the stop sign go right on North Main St. At the north side of the square, take a left on Villanow St. After two lights, Villanow Street becomes Hwy 136. Continue on 136 to the T. Take a left in Naomi on 136/151. Take a right on 136 and go over Taylor's ridge. Right as you come down the other side of the ridge, take a right on W. Armuchee Road. Go a little more than 6 miles and the house is on the right at 6550 West Armuchee Road, right before you enter Chattooga County. The phone number is 706-397-2956.

Tuesday, Oct. 28, there will be a New Members Class for CHILDREN. Please sign up by calling the church office. Adults please call the church office to schedule for a different date.

YOUNG ADULTS - Next Sunday: Meeting (after the service) for high school grads and 20-somethings interested in starting a Bible study.

Our weekly budget is $3,289. Last month’s average was $2,041. We are at 92% of budgeted giving for the year ($11,163 behind).

When we consecrate ourselves to God, we think we are making a great sacrifice, and doing lots for Him, when really we are only letting go some little bitsy trinkets we have been grabbing; and when our hands are empty, He fills them with His treasures.
