Praise God, we received more than enough funds to operate our Christmas ministry this year. Thank you to all who gave.
Awana is not meeting on Dec. 24/31 and will resume on Jan. 7.
Highlands will be having an 8:00 p.m. Christmas Eve service which is especially oriented to children.
Men, Dec. 27th is chainsaw, fire, and meat day at the church campus. We’re going to be clearing at burning debris in the woods behind the buildings. The workday starts at 8 a.m.
New Year’s Eve game night starts at 8:00 p.m. Please bring snack foods and games.
Our weekly budget is $3,289. Last month’s average was $3,455. We are at 94% of budgeted giving for the year ($9,211 behind).
There is a good deal in the Bible about men seeking God, but there is much more about God seeking men, and coming upon them unawares when they were not seeking Him, and even when they were not seeking Him, and even when they were predisposed to flee from Him. The whole story in the Bible suggests not so much phrases like ‘human quest’ as phrases like ‘divine revelation’, ‘divine vocation’, ‘divine visitation’.
