Announcements - December 02, '07

Travis is just beginning a short series on the beginning of Luke for Advent and Christmas. If you would like to read his notes from the first sermon, dealing with the "Secrets of Christianity" in US News and World Report, click here.

Highlands will be starting an ESL class and a Spanish class after the New Year. Both will meet on Tuesday nights. Sign up with church office if you wish to take the Spanish class. The cost is $20 for the semester. Sign up with Israel Bautista if you wish to take the ESL class. The cost is $15 for materials.

Today is our second Christmas offering. The wrapping party is Dec. 16, after the morning service. Delivery will be on Dec. 19th.

The Diaconate will meet on Dec. 11.

Our Winter Congregational Meeting is next Sunday, December 9, at 6:00 p.m. We will be discussing plans and vision, the 2008 budget and Bob Borger’s call to Highlands.

We will be having a Farewell and We Love You Party for Bob and Jan on Sunday, December 16. It will be at Highlands, starting at 6 p.m. We'll have a pot luck supper and a time of testimonies and bad jokes.

Our weekly budget is $3,300. Last week’s offering was $2,040. We are at 84.73% of budget in our giving to date. The four-week average is $2,586.
